Next step was putting some fleece through the drum carder. Kathy had wonderful hints to make everything easier and avoid clogs (like the netting across the take-in area). She has developed a lot of great ideas, and does justice to the saying "necessity is the mother of invention".
Winding the drum to make sure it is all processing evenly
Showing how it lifts off and is rolled into a small rolag
Showing how to slip the tool (a handy screwdriver will do) under the fibre where the card joins so that it can be peeled off and rolled up--or left as a bat if thicker.
