I made Georgia some leg warmers, I guess I should have just made socks!

My first attempt at a Wombat Jacket (an adaptation of Elizabeth Zimmermann's daughter Meg's badger jacket) was in handspun and ended up so heavy I couldn't wear it.  I made another in DK commercial yarn and I love it.

Ooops, too big.....

I found fuzzy, smooshy soft purple yarn that I thought Georgia would love.  I was at the ACS Mill Shop, and they were able to supply me with a pattern even though the yarn had been discontinued for quite a long time.  I decided to knit the smallest size jacket for Georgi, thinking she could grow into it.

It actually turned out quite large indeed.  It should fit her next year.   I even managed to insert the zip in the front without dramas.

I made several squares to add to a wedding blanket my Ravelry group was making.  I usually crochet squares, but this time I managed to knit them and get the size pretty right.

And just to mention the, it's not snow, just the Silver Creek frost, washing I wasn't home in time to grab from the line, an iced swimming pool and some nice fog.

Our Panda boy

My gorgeous grandson is very, very, very fond of pandas.  His other favourites are elephants and koalas.  I made him a panda scarf from a pattern I purchased on Ravelry.

Koala and Kookaburra

I was really lucky some time ago to head to the shed and find 'Kenny' one of our resident koalas on the move to a different tree.

and some kookaburra photos too....

A tribute to veterans

Coming back from a reunion in Melbourne with other 'Balcombe-ites', we called in at Seymour to visit the new Vietnam Veterans memorial wall.  I was impressed with how well it was done, and I would recommend it to anyone who had family serving or supporting in Vietnam.  The trees will probably have grown quite a bit more by now.

Aren't coincidences funny things...I guess that's rhetorical!

I found a little knitted toy bat

and then, just a week later, look who visited (and had to be shown the door)
